Snowblower Drive Belt

With Thanksgiving almost here, the cold season is upon us. In some parts of the country, there is already an abundance of snow. This is a good time to get your snow blower inspected, cleaned and prepared for its busiest season.

Tips for snowblower maintenance:

  • Drain gas from the snow blower tank or add stabilizer. This ensures that gasoline won’t solidify and the engine will start easily every time.
  • Drain old and add fresh engine oil.
  • Check for loose or damaged drive belts and replace any that show signs of wear.
  • Check the snow thrower tires and make sure they are inflated to proper pressure.
  • Lubricate the drive mechanism, the auger and impeller movements.
  • It is advisable that you install a new sparkplug in your showthrower every other year. This will ensure that your engine runs smoothly and without problems.
